ART AND FABRIC

Fabrics has always been the great strength of Maison Majestic Filatures.
ART AND FABRIC - MAJESTIC FILATURES

NOTHING IS MORE PRECIOUS AT MAJESTIC FILATURES THAN MATERIAL.

After the Deluxe Cotton T-shirt, the collections have been enriched with other products over time with the particularity of mixing threads. This is how Majestic Filatures was the first brand to offer T-shirts with 70% Cotton and 30% Cashmere giving a unique rendering and comfort. It can also be said that all Majestic Filatures collections offer incomparable flexibility and softness when worn.

These blends of Cotton/Cashmere, Viscose/Elastane, Cotton/Silk or Linen/Elastane are the very DNA of the House. The collections also feature models in organic cotton, but the originality of the products goes even further, since not only are the material blends often precursors but the majority of the range is made in jersey.

The brand has always created its own knitwear using yarns sourced from its European factory. Thus, creation is thought about daily in the Parisian workshops, the materials are assembled and give birth to associations that are as timeless as they are unique.

A SUPERVISED AND ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY PRODUCTION

Majestic Filatures, since its beginnings, has never compromised on quality and positions itself as a responsible brand by manufacturing its products exclusively in Europe under exemplary conditions. With a historic partnership with a factory in Portugal, the company works with respect for the environment and the consumer.

The washing and treatment of materials are carried out in compliance with European standards. Plant or pigment dyes do not use any chemical fixatives; the products thus retain their natural appearance with an incomparably soft and comfortable feel. The finishes are also refined and high-end: Italian zip, real mother-of-pearl button, etc. At Majestic Filatures, we are proud to work with partner factories based in Europe, which have been certified by renowned labels. These certifications attest to our commitment to eco-responsible production. Our factories comply with strict standards in terms of ethics, sustainability and environmental protection.

By choosing Majestic Filatures, you are supporting a brand that values manufacturing practices that respect the ecosystem and is determined to create luxury clothing of the highest quality, while preserving our planet for future generations. The only exception to European manufacturing is cashmere, which is made in Mongolia. To do this, the House collaborates with a family business chosen for its traditional work in respect of the herds and gestures of nomadic peoples. Thus, the goats are only brushed, the selection of threads is done by hand, the threads are sorted by color and then carefully washed at the factory. All this is done at the end of winter to guarantee a more resistant and more durable product.

CASHMERE

Cashmere fiber is renowned for its insulating properties and softness, providing insulation from the cold while providing great lightness.

It can be worn in winter as well as in summer. We choose our cashmere yarns with particular attention to the length and fineness of the fibers, which are the two characteristics of a cashmere yarn.

Cashmere obtained from the weaving of the hair of the Capra Hircus goat was only introduced to Europe in the 19th century by a Frenchman named Jean-Baptiste Decrétot. It takes its name from the region of the same name (in India), although today most of the production takes place in Inner Mongolia, which has 70 to 80% of the world's Capra Hircus goat herd. It takes about 4 goats to make a sweater; one of them only produces about 100 grams of usable cashmere. Natural cashmere has only 3 colors: gray, brown and white, and that of Mongolia remains by far the highest quality. This exceptional fabric sees its price vary from one year to the next depending on the quality and quantity of the harvest.

COTTON

COTTON SILK TOUCH

At Majestic Filatures, we have developed a unique knitting: satin, smooth and soft with high quality cotton.

The "Silk Touch" cotton has been developed with a tight knit which gives a shiny knit with a light appearance.

DELUXE COTTON

Deluxe Cotton, with a slightly fluffy feel, is a must-have for its softness and comfort.

ORGANIC COTTON

Coming from organic farming, our organic cotton is 100% natural. Its touch is pleasant and soft thanks to the absence of chemical pesticides and dyes. Its culture combines tradition, innovation and science for the benefit of the environment.

COTTON MODAL

Modal is an eco-friendly fiber created from beech wood pulp. Its manufacturing is environmentally friendly and its high resistance makes it a sustainable material.

We mix it with cotton and a touch of elastane for even more comfort and softness.

VISCOSE

Made from viscose, a material derived from wood fiber, this knit is worked with a little elastane to provide more flexibility and comfort in movement.

Viscose is a material similar to silk in its fluidity and also in its color retention, which allows us to offer vibrant colors that do not fade when washed. From the choice of yarns to the development of the knitting, this mesh is worked to obtain the softest touch.

FLAX

Linen is a natural material. It is an ecological, thermoregulating fabric, which provides a feeling of freshness in summer, and one of the most resistant textile fibers.

The linen used at Majestic Filatures is produced exclusively in Europe.

THE RACCOON

Raccoon is a very soft natural fiber. As with the harvest of any noble material, the raccoon is combed in such a way as to respect its well-being.

Its main characteristics are lightness, resistance and the fiber has an undisputed thermal insulating power. The material thus obtained is always soft with a very soft touch.
